Job Summary:
The Senior Designer is responsible for creating innovative, functional, and aesthetically appealing furniture designs aligned with market trends and company standards. This role involves managing the complete design process — from concept to production — and leading the design team to develop new collections and customized products for residential and commercial clients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop creative furniture designs based on client requirements, market trends, and brand identity.
• Prepare 2D and 3D design concepts, detailed drawings, and specifications using design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, SolidWorks, etc.).
• Work closely with production and engineering teams to ensure design feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
• Select appropriate materials, finishes, and hardware for designs.
• Review prototypes, provide design feedback, and ensure product quality meets company standards.
• Research global trends, new materials, and design innovations to enhance product offerings.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to present new designs and collections.
• Lead and mentor junior designers, ensuring timely project completion and creativity within the team.
• Maintain a comprehensive design library, including sketches, samples, and project documentation.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Furniture Design, Interior Design, Product Design, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in furniture design or related manufacturing industry.
• Strong proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, SolidWorks, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, etc.).
• Good understanding of materials, joinery, ergonomics, and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent visualization and presentation skills.
• Strong creativity with attention to detail and functionality.
• Leadership ability and team management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple design projects simultaneously.
