Job Profile - Fashion Designer

Education Requirement :- Bachelors Degree in Fashion Design (NIFT Graduate with 8+ CGPA preferred)

Experience Requirement :- 2 - 4 Years in Ethnic Wear Industry

Location :- Noida, India

Job Type :- Full-time

Compensation Range :- 4 - 6 LPA (Based on Experience)

Role Overview

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Fashion Designer to conceptualize and design seasonal ethnic and fusion wear collections that align with Rustorange‘s modern aesthetic. If you have a strong eye for color, fabric, and detail and a passion for sustainable design we’d love to meet you.

Key Responsibilities:
• Create illustrations, and detailed tech packs for sampling and production.
• Collaborate with fabric sourcing, sampling, and production teams to ensure high-quality execution.
• Work on surface ornamentation, embroidery, and print development for new collections.
• Participate in fit trials and ensure the final product meets brand standards in comfort, fit, and finish.
• Maintain design documentation, archives, and seasonal line sheets.
• Support the marketing and e-commerce teams with styling inputs for shoots and catalog imagery.

Skills & Competencies:
• Understanding of various Print Techniques (digital printing, table printing including cold discharge, Prussian, pigment printing, Tie & Dye)
• Understanding of various Embroidery Techniques (machine, adda, hand)
• Strong knowledge of Indian ethnic wear design, textiles, and color theory
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Canva, Google Slides
• Creative visualization with an eye for detail and finishing
• Understanding of pattern making, draping, and garment construction.
• Ability to balance creativity with commercial viability.
• Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively across teams.

Preferred Candidate Profile:
• NIFT Graduate with 8.0+ CGPA
• 2–4 years of hands-on experience in ethnic or fusion wear design.
• Experience working with D2C or e-commerce Ethnic fashion brands is a plus.
• A strong portfolio showcasing ethnic/fusion design work and innovative use of fabrics and prints.
• Passion for sustainability, craftsmanship, and contemporary Indian fashion.
