Duties:
Primary responsibilities will be material handling, tool service for MP, and operating multiple machines within the MP track.
Review all shop orders for tool and/or machine assignment.
Assist operators and/or technicians in machine setup and troubleshoot.
Provide expertise in departmental capabilities relative to customer requirements.
Monitor equipment and schedule maintenance as required.
Train new employees and arrange cross training of operators and/or technicians.
Maintain daily production to meet customer requirements.
Monitor adherence to safety procedures by all employees.
Acts in a supervisory role when the departmental supervisor is not present.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent plus two years of vocational training.
Ability to pass a basic math skills assessment.
Requires ability to read a ruler, set calipers, read a blueprint and micrometer.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to persuade others and encourage teamwork.
Working knowledge of all departmental equipment including set up and troubleshooting.
Five years as an operator and/or technician within applicable department with increasing responsibilities
Excellent organizational skills
