Qualified Mechanic – 4 Day Week – Build Your Own Specialty (Warana, Sunny Coast)

Qualified mechanic who’s over 5–6 day weeks and feeling like a number?

We’re an independent workshop in Warana with loyal regulars, 5 hoists, good music and a crew that actually gets along. We’re looking for a solid mechanic who wants proper mechanical work and a say in the kind of jobs they do.

What you get

4-day week – Monday to Thursday
Up to $100k+ a year, plus potential profit share bonus

What you’ll be doing

Logbook servicing and general mechanical repairs
Brakes, suspension, troubleshooting and fault finding
Working across a mix of makes and models – not the same job all day
Helping apprentices and newer mechanics build their skills as the team grows
Your specialty – built into the job

We want you to bring the area you already love or want to grow, for example:

Engine building or performance work
4x4 accessories and suspension
Tuning and diagnostics
EV and hybrid repairs
Or another specialty you’re keen to focus on
We’re happy to build that into the business so when it’s quieter, or juniors are smashing out services, you’ve got your own area to work on and develop.

About you

Qualified light vehicle mechanic (or equivalent recognised in Australia)
Confident with day-to-day servicing and repairs
Current driver licence, manual preferred
Take pride in neat, safe work and looking after customers’ cars
Easy to get along with, keen to help others learn and be part of a small, solid crew
Interested in making the most of your specialty and growing it over time
Nice extras (not deal breakers)

Air-con ticket or roadworthy ticket
Euro, 4x4 or performance experience
We can support you to get roadworthy and air-con licences, and to study in a specialty you choose (EV, tuning, diagnostics etc).
