Duties

Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, valves, and appliances in new construction and remodeling projects.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute plumbing layouts.
Use hand tools and power tools such as pipe threaders, wrenches, drills, and saws to complete installations and repairs efficiently.
Perform construction estimating for plumbing projects by assessing materials and labor needs to ensure accurate project planning.
Conduct welding when necessary for pipe joining or repairs requiring specialized techniques.
Execute heavy lifting tasks safely when handling large pipes or equipment on construction sites.
Follow safety protocols on construction sites to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with OSHA standards.
Collaborate with other trades such as carpentry and HVAC technicians during remodeling or maintenance projects.
Read and follow schematics and technical manuals related to plumbing systems for precise installation or troubleshooting.
Perform routine maintenance on plumbing fixtures and systems to ensure optimal operation over time.
Assist in field service operations by diagnosing issues onsite and providing effective solutions promptly.
Utilize basic math skills for measurements, calculations of pipe lengths, flow rates, or material quantities.
Drive commercial vehicles as needed for material transport or site visits while adhering to safety regulations.
Contribute to construction estimating efforts by assessing project scope and resource requirements accurately.
Skills

Extensive experience with construction plumbing including installation, repair, and troubleshooting techniques.
Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams related to plumbing systems.
Mechanical knowledge of HVAC systems is a plus for integrated building services understanding.
Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and pipe threading machinery.
Strong understanding of construction site safety practices and OSHA regulations.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper ergonomics.
Knowledge of remodeling processes along with maintenance person experience is advantageous for versatile project support.
Familiarity with construction estimating processes for plumbing projects ensures accurate resource planning.
Experience with field service operations including diagnostics and onsite repairs.
Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to pipe fitting or system capacities.
Ability to read technical schematics and mechanical drawings accurately for precise installations or repairs.
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred for transporting materials or equipment between sites.
