Responsibilities
Proficient in using paint guns, airbrushes, and blending techniques.
Skilled in color matching and paint corrections.
Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards
Familiarity with water-based and solvent-based paint systems.
Ability to perform work on scratches, chips, bumper scuffs
Provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs
Notify Service Advisor immediately if repairs cannot be completed within the time promised
Document vehicle maintenance by completing forms, reports, logs & records
Maintain the Express Service Area in an organized manner
Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations (such as disposal of hazardous waste)
Coordinate with & report directly to the Shop Foreman, Service Manager or Service Director
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in automotive paint, touch-up and detailing.
Effective analytical and communication skills and eagerness to improve
Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
High School Diploma or GED (required)
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
