Assistant Project Officer
Location Parramatta with 50% in office attendance
Ongoing full-time opportunity (35 hours per week)
Clerk Grade 5/6 - $99,398 to $110,271 plus superannuation and leave loading
Your role
The Assistant Project Officer undertakes a range of activities including coordination, analysis, reporting, implementation and administrative activities to support the Governance team in the Office of the Chief Executive Officer.
What you’ll do
As part of a four-person team, the Assistant Project Officer's duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Take primary responsibility for managing the shared mailbox, including monitoring incoming correspondence, prioritising messages, assigning tasks to relevant teams, and tracking allocations and timeframes. Proactively follow up to ensure all deadlines are met and maintain organised records to support efficient project delivery.
Respond to enquiries and ensure clear, timely communication, maintaining a high standard of professionalism and accuracy in all interactions.
Undertake research and analysis in assigned project areas, contributing to the preparation of project briefs and supporting informed decision-making and planning.
Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline processes, enhance team collaboration, and implement best practices that contribute to the overall effectiveness and efficiency of project operations.
Provide essential administrative support by scheduling and setting up appointments, organising team meetings, preparing agendas, and managing meeting logistics.
Monitor and manage purchase orders, TRIM records, and related systems to ensure accurate documentation and timely processing of transactions.
