About the Role:

As a Transport Dispatcher, you’ll be responsible for optimising daily delivery schedules, allocating loads, and coordinating drivers to ensure smooth transport operations across Auckland. This role is vital to keeping our network running efficiently and ensuring our customers receive the best possible service.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and allocate local deliveries to achieve 100% on-time performance (TOT)
Maximise truck utilisation and ensure efficient load planning
Liaise with Cardinal sites and contractors to coordinate daily deliveries and collections
Prepare and manage delivery paperwork and manifests
Record and allocate all customer pickup requests throughout the day
Communicate delays or undelivered freight to Customer Services
Maintain accurate data entry in the Transport Management System (TMS)
Conduct end-of-day checks to ensure all freight is dispatched
Support a strong safety culture and comply with Cardinal’s Health & Safety policies
Working Hours: Monday - Friday- 5pm - 3am
What You’ll Bring:

Minimum 3 years’ experience in the transport or logistics industry
Sound knowledge of the Road Code and Land Transport Act 1998
Strong understanding of Auckland’s metro area
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
High level of attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer-based systems
Forklift licence and/or truck driver’s licence (preferred but not essential)
