Job Description

Coronation Restaurant & Cafe in Mangere Bridge currently look for two Cooks to join our team. Working hours is between 30 and 40 hours per week. Pay rate ranges from $27 to $30 per hour, depending on level of skills and experience.

Your duties will include:

Prepare ingredients such as thaw frozen items, cut meat, poultry, seafood, chop vegetables etc.

Weight and measure ingredients; prepare sauces, salads and side dishes.

Cook menu items and accommodate customers’ special requests.

Portion and present food according to our standards.

Monitor stock level and quality, assist with ordering supplies.

Check oven, cooking appliance and equipment to ensure everything works well.

Clean and sanitize food preparation area, cooking appliance and equipment.

Perform any other related duties as required.

Require skills and attributes:

Must be available to work on evening shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Minimum 1 year (preferable 2 years) of relevant experience as cook or in similar roles.

Physically fit for heavy liftings or standing for extended periods.

Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Have strong multitasking and organizational skills.

Be reliable and punctual, and able to work independently as well as in a team.
