Job Description

This is a hands-on role where you’ll work closely with leaders and our workshop teams to strengthen and continuously improve Longveld’s health, safety, and wellbeing practices.


We are flexible with this opportunity, and we welcome both full time and part time applications.

Key Responsibilities

Build strong relationships across the business to promote a proactive and positive safety culture.
Maintain and improve Longveld’s health & safety management systems in line with HSWA requirements.
Support the development and implementation of processes required to achieve ISO 45001.
Coach and guide leaders in effective risk management, incident response, and safe work practices.
Conduct inspections, audits, and risk assessments with practical, action-focused recommendations.
Lead or support incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are embedded.
Deliver inductions, toolbox talks, and other health & safety training.
Monitor H&S data, track trends, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Support wellbeing initiatives and safety-related communications.
What You’ll Bring

A relevant Health & Safety qualification or strong practical experience.
Good working knowledge of NZ health & safety legislation.
Experience in manufacturing, engineering, construction, or similar environments.
Experience with ISO 45001 or similar (implementation or audit exposure).
Confident communication and coaching skills, with a relatable, practical approach.
Ability to engage with teams on the workshop floor and influence best practice.
