At least 2 years of related work experience OR

At least a related NZ Register Diploma Level 4 qualification may substitute for the experience (overseas qualifications must be comparable to the standard of the New Zealand qualification) OR

The National Skill Standard Testing Level 1 (Thai Cook or Thai Chef) from Thailand
AND

Knowledge of Thai food cooking techniques

Job Descriptions

Checking food products to ensure they meet quality standards

Adjusting and monitoring temperatures on ovens, grills, and other kitchen equipment

Cooking and preparing a variety of dishes

Seasoning food as it cooks to enhance flavour

Portioning, plating, and adding sauces or garnishes before serving meals

Storing ingredients and dishes in proper temperature-controlled conditions

Preparing meals tailored to specific dietary requirements

Assisting with menu planning and calculating ingredient needs

Providing guidance and training to junior kitchen staff or apprentices

This is a full-time and permanent position

Wages range from $26 to $35 per hour, depending on your skills and experience, and are paid weekly.

Holiday pay and sick leave will be paid according to the law

You will be working at 21 Te Mata Road, Havelock North, Hastings 4130

You will work according to a roster 5 - 6 days each week, with a guarantee of 30 hours (a maximum of 48 hours)
