Gardener - Support at Home

We are seeking a full-time permanent Gardener to join our team of committed and passionate professionals. In this role, you will provide a range of high-quality gardening services to older people living in their own homes in the south-western metropolitan community.


Key gardening duties include (but are not limited to):

Basic landscaping to ensure safety of clients
Lawn mowing
Tree & shrub pruning and weeding
Removing of garden rubbish
Basic irrigation
Basic planting
Eliminating pests
Smoke alarm checks
Gutter cleaning
This role suits people with excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a flexible approach. You will build lasting, trust-based relationships with clients, their families, and your team.


About You


We are looking for people who:

Are skilled in provision of gardening services (Essential)
Have a genuine commitment to helping older people retain independence at home
Are responsible, well organised, and able to prioritise workload effectively
Demonstrate empathy, respect, and the ability to work with older people and their families/carers
Understand and comply with confidentiality requirements
Are reliable, honest, and trustworthy
Can complete documentation accurately and in a timely manner
Can work independently with minimal supervision
Possess excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
Understand the needs and strengths of older people
Have a basic knowledge of aged care legislation and responsibilities (e.g. Elder Abuse, Code of Conduct, duty of care)
To be considered for this role you must

Be prepared to undertake a police background check and a functional assessment (Provided by us)
Hold a Current SA Drivers Licence
Have a Current First Aid Certificate (can obtain on job)
