Te Tūranga | About the role

We’re excited to announce that we have two Revegetation Operator positions available in our Natural Environments Team. You’ll help bring sites across Tauranga to life for everyone to enjoy. This is a hands-on, outdoor role where you’ll work with a friendly team to restore and care for our natural spaces.

Monday to Friday, 7am to 3:30pm (40 hours per week)
Full uniform, PPE, wet weather gear, and work boots provided
All tools and transport supplied
Your day-to-day work will include:

Cut and paste, hand removal, dune care, and pest plant vine control
Agrichemical spraying of plant pests
Removing rubbish, using a line trimmer, and planting trees/shrubs
If you have experience with chainsaws, tree pruning, or chippers, that’s a bonus!
You’ll be working outdoors in all kinds of weather and terrain, so being comfortable outside is important.


Ngā Pukenga | What you’ll need to succeed

Honesty and integrity (this is really important)
Reliability and a positive, team-focused attitude
Relevant qualifications (First Aid, Traffic Management, Growsafe, LUV, Chainsaw) are a plus
Good pest plant and plant knowledge
Ability to use a mobile phone and learn our workflow app
Willingness to listen, learn, and take pride in your work
Willingness to follow Health and Safety guidelines
Great communication and customer service skills – you’ll be an ambassador for TCC and chat with the community while on the job
Physically fit and happy to work outdoors all day
Full, clean driver’s licence
