About the role

The Ward Administrator helps keep Ward 9B running smoothly by providing flexible administration support to ward staff.

The role involves:

Assisting visitors/whānau to the ward
Facility and stores management
Data entry
Transcription
Clerical support and filing
Responding to requests for information
You'll work closely with other administrators and clinical teams to make sure Mental Health Act documentation is complete and submitted on time for Mental Health Act court proceedings. Join the vibrant 9B team for an exciting career journey.

About you

Our ideal candidate will have:

at least two years of administrative experience
a knowledge of office systems and procedures
evidence of good literacy and numeracy skills
excellent computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook (e-mail)
a typing speed above 65 words per minute
strong written and verbal communication skills
the ability to work well in a team, foster good interpersonal relationships, and a willingness to support and assist others.
