Full job description
We are looking for experienced Chinese cuisine cooks who are enthusiastic, reliable, and friendly team members to join our busy restaurant in Mission Bay, Auckland.

The candidates should have NZQF Level 4 qualification in Cookery or equivalent, or at least three years of relevant work experience


We are looking for a skilled Cook to join our Chinese restaurant team. The role involves preparing and cooking traditional Chinese dishes in a high-volume kitchen while maintaining consistent food quality and hygiene standards. The ideal candidate will have relevant cookery qualifications or industry experience, strong time-management skills, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities:

Chinese chef’s certificate or relevant work experience

Experience preparing and cooking authentic Chinese cuisine in a commercial kitchen

Knowledge of Chinese cooking techniques, ingredients, and recipes

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment

Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety requirements

Good time management skills and ability to work under pressure

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
