Responsibilities Include:
Strategy & Design:
Develop a comprehensive cloud strategy aligned with business goals.
Design scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions for applications and data migration, modernization
Evaluate and select google cloud services and third-party tools.
Solution Design:
Architect tailored GCP solutions for applications migration, modernization, data modernization that leverage best practices and meet specific business requirements.
Understand client requirements and prepare appropriate cloud solutions (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, Network, Security) for applications migration, modernization, data modernization on Google Cloud.
Technical Presentations:
Conduct workshops and presentations to demonstrate solution feasibility and value, fostering trust and engagement with stakeholders.
Proof of Concept (POC):
Lead the design and implementation of POCs to validate proposed solutions, transitioning these into larger-scale engagements
Implementation & Management:
Guide technical solution development in engagements related to applications modernization, migration of applications, data modernization, solution integration and infrastructure to GCP
Ensure optimal performance of cloud solutions through monitoring and troubleshooting
Collaborate with IT security teams to maintain data privacy and compliance
Collaboration & Leadership:
Work closely with sales, delivery and business teams to deliver solutions
Provide technical guidance to teams on Google Cloud best practices
Stay updated on emerging google cloud technologies and trends
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years in architecture or 10 years in engineering roles related to hybrid cloud solutions for applications migration, modernization, data modernization, with a proven track record of successful client engagements.
Minimum of 3 years in architecture or 5 years in engineering roles related to GCP solutions for application and data migration, modernization
Experience and expertise in designing and implementing strategies to migrate and modernize an organization's data infrastructure to the cloud, utilizing advanced data technologies to improve accessibility, scalability, and analytics capabilities, while ensuring data security and compliance with industry regulations
Design data architecture on the cloud, including data lakes, data warehouses, data pipelines, and data ingestion mechanisms
Implement data governance frameworks to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication abilities to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to articulate technical concepts.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Google Cloud with one or more cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.) for applications migration, modernization, data modernization
Experience in architecting applications leveraging containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), Cloud native (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), Hybrid / Multi-Cloud, Hardware OEMs, Network, Security, Microservices, FinOps, iPaaS and APIs, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, CloudFormation), and CI/CD pipelines.
Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture principles.
Deep working knowledge of GCP services, inc luding GCE, GKE, Istio, open-source Kubernetes, Docker containers, App Engine, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, IAM, VPC, Firestore, CloudSQL, Spanner, Cloud Monitoring (Stackdriver), Anthos, APIGEE, Terraform, Github, Jenkins, Cloud Build, BigQuery, AlloyDB, Cloud SQL, Spanner

Ability to lead cross-functional teams effectively.
Salary Range: $191,888-$225,750 a year
