Job Overview
General
Provide advanced troubleshooting, monitoring, analysis, and documentation of systems and applications
Support system tuning, configuration consistency, vulnerability remediation, and optimization
Assist with system upgrades and patching activities
Execute and support disaster recovery plans
Participate in system design efforts and project teams as needed
Perform other IT System Administrator–related duties as required
Database & Web Administration
Assist in planning, configuring, installing, upgrading, and patching database and web systems
Develop and maintain database/web documentation
Troubleshoot and resolve enterprise-level database and web issues
Prepare database/web requirements and structures
Support implementation of database/web projects
Estimate scope, timelines, and resources for related initiatives
Research emerging database and web technologies and best practices
Assist in designing database/web architecture to ensure security, integrity, and availability
Security Administration
Plan and design security access for internal and external environments
Implement security controls for infrastructure, hardware, and software
Configure security interfaces for desktop, enterprise, and web systems
Execute disaster recovery and system recovery plans
Monitor, investigate, and remediate security incidents
Perform security analysis and reporting to support audits
Maintain and update security-related documentation
Research current security trends, tools, and best practices
Minimum Qualifications
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 4+ years of relevant experience, OR
Master’s degree in a related field with 2+ years of relevant experience
Required Knowledge & Skills
Strong understanding of IT systems administration, system analysis, testing, and disaster recovery
Experience with database and web administration, data management, and application systems
Knowledge of security architecture, access controls, incident response, and remediation
Ability to lead projects, analyze system issues, and provide technical solutions
Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Certifications (Required)
CISSP – Certified Information Systems Security Professional
CISA – Certified Information Systems Auditor
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
