Advanced IT Support Specialist- post

Regal Research & Manufacturing is growing, and we are looking for a hands-on IT professional who enjoys solving real problems, working directly with people, and making systems work better every day.

You will be the primary on-site IT support person and will work closely with our external IT provider, Modo, to keep systems running smoothly and push improvements forward.

This is not a corporate helpdesk role. You will be on the floor, in offices, and in production areas helping people get their jobs done.

What you will do

Handle day-to-day IT support tickets for office and manufacturing users
Be the main on-site point of contact for IT issues and coordinate with Modo when escalation is needed
Manage and support Microsoft 365 including user setup, permissions, security settings, and admin tools
Prepare, install, and maintain training rooms and shared workspaces
Lead and conduct employee training for Microsoft Teams, Office, and other internal applications
Support a wide range of devices including desktops, laptops, tablets, scanners, printers, and servers
Maintain and support on-prem and cloud infrastructure
Assist with security best practices and access control
Work with manufacturing software such as Epicor ERP, Bartender, Mastercam, Bluebeam, PreForm, IdeaMaker, and similar tools
Lead or support projects such as implementing a 3D printing farm server for multi-user print management
Balance incoming tickets while making steady progress on longer-term projects
Provide occasional after-hours or on-call support as needed

What we are looking for

Mid-level to senior IT experience in an internal support role
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 Admin Suite
Comfortable in a mixed environment with on-prem servers and cloud systems
Experience supporting a variety of hardware and software in a manufacturing or industrial setting is a big plus
Able to work independently and manage priorities without constant oversight
Comfortable working directly with operators, engineers, and managers
Clear communicator who can explain technical concepts to non-technical users
Willing to be hands-on and proactive

Experience

2 to 3 years of relevant IT support or infrastructure experience preferred
Experience working with an external IT provider or MSP is helpful
Epicor or ERP exposure is a plus but not required

Reporting structure

This role reports directly to the Vice President of Manufacturing and Engineering and works closely with ownership, engineering, and ERP development resources.

Pay: $20.00 - $32.00 per hour
