Role Details
• Position Title: Security Officer
• Level: E0 / E1
• Location: Pune & GOI
• Job Purpose

To ensure aviation security at the airport in compliance with Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) guidelines and local operating procedures. The role requires maintaining high standards of security, safety, and customer service, ensuring that passengers experience a safe, efficient, and friendly environment.

Key Accountabilities
• Perform aviation security functions such as access control, surveillance, patrolling, aircraft security, baggage screening, and catering security in line with regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with Hub Control for timely announcements related to boarding gate closures and openings.
• Provide accurate and timely information regarding gates, flight arrivals, and departures; respond to passenger inquiries.
• Enforce access control into restricted areas of the airport, ensuring compliance with BCAS standards.
• Conduct ID and boarding card checks, along with physical searches of passengers and baggage as per BCAS requirements.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations in accordance with established procedures.
• Carry out ****** duties, including support for special events when required.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of regulatory policies related to unaccompanied minors, hazardous materials, airfreight acceptance, and law enforcement officer protocols.
• Prepare and maintain detailed incident logs; provide timely reports to the Security Supervisor.
• Conduct foot patrols of operational areas and designated routes.
• Undertake mandatory computer-based and security training to meet BCAS compliance targets.
• Ensure security equipment is operated only as per training and competence standards.
• Contribute to a culture of continual improvement and actively support the organization’s security goals.
• Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders to maximize safety and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications & Requirements
• Education:
• Freshers: Regular Graduation (any discipline) – Mandatory
• Experience:
• Fresher or 1–6 years of relevant experience
