Manage month-end close, including journal entries, accruals, and account analysis.
Prepare and review financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
Conduct analytical reviews to identify inconsistencies, trends, and potential risks.
2. Payroll Management

Process and review client payroll accurately and on schedule.
Ensure compliance with payroll-related filings, deductions, and reporting requirements.
Coordinate with internal teams and clients to resolve payroll discrepancies.

Assist with preparation and review of nonprofit tax filings (e.g., Form 990 and related schedules).
Ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting standards and reporting requirements.
Expanded Responsibilities (Leadership & Growth Phase)

1. Team Leadership & Review

Review work prepared by junior accountants and payroll staff; provide structured feedback.
Train and mentor junior team members on accounting, payroll, and nonprofit compliance.
Act as a technical escalation point for complex accounting and tax matters.
2. Accounting Delivery Center Setup & Management

Design and set up the Accounting Delivery Center, including workflows, controls, and documentation.
Build, manage, and scale accounting and payroll teams within the Delivery Center.
Establish standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality control processes.
Monitor team performance, turnaround times, and accuracy metrics.
Collaborate with leadership to align Delivery Center output with client expectations and service standards.
3. Process & Client Support

Drive process improvement and automation across accounting, payroll, and tax workflows.
Support audits, client reviews, and special accounting or tax projects.
Partner with management on capacity planning and service delivery strategy.
