Software Engineer, AI Platforms

Location : Remote eligible across India. Role can be based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

We are seeking a versatile and intellectually curious Software Engineer to build the core platform that powers our intelligent applications. This role is perfect for a proactive learner who is passionate about the rapidly evolving AI landscape. If you are a doer, who gets things done & envisions large scale impact, this role is for you.

You will be responsible for translating cutting-edge concepts into a scalable and resilient service layer that orchestrates requests across various machine learning models.

Key Responsibilities :
• Design, build, and maintain a high-performance REST API gateway for our AI services.
• Develop user interfaces and dashboards for service monitoring, configuration, and analytics.
• Deploy and manage secure, scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Implement robust systems for authentication, rate limiting, and request logging.
• Not afraid to put on a new hat to help the team in uncharted territory.

Core Skills & Qualifications :
• Versatile Engineering : Exceptional ability to learn quickly and adapt. You are a problem-solver who thrives on tackling new challenges across the entire technology stack even in a time crunch.
• Backend Development : Proven experience building and scaling RESTful APIs using Python or another modern language (e.g., Node.js etc).
• Frontend Development : Proficiency in building user interfaces with a modern JavaScript framework (e.g., React, Vue, Svelte).
• AWS Infrastructure : Hands-on experience with core AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, IAM, and S3.
• ML Research Experience : Academic or industry publications are a plus, but not mandatory.
• Speed in implementation / debugging; Truly cares about the ML innovation; Ability to identify personal skillset gaps and learning them at a high-pace.

Preferred Qualifications :
• Infrastructure as Code : Strong preference for experience with Terraform .
• AI / ML Acumen : A demonstrated interest and ability to read and understand state-of-the-art research papers in AI / ML.
• Containerization : Familiarity with Docker and / or Kubernetes.
