About the Job
As a Tutor, you will be responsible for guiding students through the Australian curriculum, helping them understand complex concepts, and preparing them for assessments.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Delivering engaging 1-on-1 or small group lessons in your area of expertise (Year 3-12 Maths, English, Selective Exam, or Science).
Developing tutoring content.
Simplifying difficult concepts and adapting your teaching style to suit different learning needs.
Marking student work and providing constructive, encouraging feedback.
Building a positive rapport with students to boost their confidence.
Skills and Experience
We are looking for individuals who have "been there, done that" and excelled.
Essential Requirements:
Academic Excellence: An ATAR of 95.00 or above. You are still welcome to apply if your ATAR is less than 95.
Subject Mastery: Band 6 results in the subjects you wish to teach.
Recent Graduate: You graduated high school within the last 1–3 years (you understand the current syllabus).
Communication: The ability to explain complex ideas simply and clearly.
Desirable Attributes:
Selective school graduate.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others succeed.
Previous tutoring or leadership experience (e.g., school prefect, peer mentoring).
