Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Fish Processing - Filleter to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the preparation and processing of fish, ensuring that all products meet our high standards of quality and safety. This position requires attention to detail, adherence to food safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Fillet fish according to established specifications and quality standards
Ensure compliance with HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) guidelines throughout the processing stages
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area to uphold food safety standards
Operate and maintain processing equipment, demonstrating basic mechanical knowledge
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient production flow
Conduct basic math calculations for portioning and inventory management
Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors promptly
Requirements

Previous experience in fish processing is essential. This is a vacancy for a time served professional. All unqualified applicants will be rejected without a proven seafood background.
Strong understanding of food safety practices, including HACCP principles
Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment operation and maintenance
Proficient in basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations
Ability to work effectively as part of a team while maintaining individual responsibilities
