Job Overview The Service Engineer role within the genset industry is a mid-level, full-time position located Ahmedabad. The candidate will be part of GMDT marine and Industrial Engineering Pvt Ltd, focusing on the maintenance and servicing of diesel generators. Required work experience is a maximum of 4 years, with opportunities to grow within a renowned company known for its technical excellence in diesel generator sets.
Qualifications and Skills Proficient in diesel generator with hands-on experience in handling various gensets. (Mandatory skill)
Strong troubleshooting abilities to identify and resolve technical issues effectively and efficiently, minimizing downtime.
Sound knowledge of electrical diagnostics to ensure generators are operating optimally and safely.
Experience in preventive maintenance to maintain and prolong the life of power equipment and reduce unexpected failures.
Knowledgeable in commissioning, ensuring the generator sets are installed and configured accurately as per specifications.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team to manage multiple projects and service calls efficiently.
Excellent communication skills to convey technical information clearly to clients and team members.
Roles and Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and servicing of diesel generator sets, ensuring high performance and reliability.
Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with gensets, providing solutions to restore functionality promptly.
Conduct electrical diagnostics and repairs, maintaining safety and efficiency in operations.
Execute preventive maintenance schedules, reducing equipment downtime and enhancing longevity.
Install and wire control panels as per the required specifications for various gensets.
Oversee the commissioning process and ensure the equipment meets operational standards.
Respond to emergency service requests, providing timely solutions to minimize operational interruptions.
Liaise with clients to understand their requirements and deliver service excellence consistently.
Minimum Qualification: ITI Electrical / Diploma ( Electricals / Electronics )
