About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Spherical Roller Bearing Designer to join our dynamic engineering team. This role is ideal for a precision-driven professional who thrives on designing complex mechanical components and ensuring their manufacturability at scale.
Key Responsibilities
• Design complete spherical roller bearings, including all subcomponents (rollers, cages, inner/outer rings, seals, etc.)
• Define and validate dimensional tolerances and fits for all bearing components
• Develop and maintain detailed control plans for production, ensuring quality and consistency
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality assurance, and procurement
• Conduct design reviews, simulations, and performance evaluations
• Stay updated with industry standards (ISO, DIN, etc.) and integrate best practices into designs
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in bearing design, specifically spherical roller bearings
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, AutoCAD)
• Strong understanding of materials, heat treatment, and surface finishing processes
• Experience with GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis, and control plan documentation
• Familiarity with bearing testing and validation methods
Preferred Skills
• Knowledge of tribology and lubrication systems
• Experience with FEA and simulation tools
• Exposure to Six Sigma or other quality improvement methodologies
