Position starting: Immediate

Friendly Rheumatology group practice is looking for a Medical Office Assistant with the following experience/skills:​

Qualifications

Exceptional communication and documentation in English
Advanced versatility with Word/Excel/Power Point/Office. Experience with an EMR is an asset
Familiarity with medical jargon and privacy practices
Skills

Highly Efficient

Proficiency in multi-tasking

Ability to prioritize

Work well independently

Friendly demeanor

Flexible

Excellent English proficiency. Second language is an asset, but not required

Job Description

Administrative and reception duties:
-welcoming and registering patients

-answering telephone, arranging and confirming appointments

-obtaining medical histories and accurate medication list

-corresponding with referring physician offices in a timely manner

-ordering supplies

-keeping office tidy

-reconciling invoices

-collecting private payments from patients when required

-transferring all paper data to EMR

-scanning and virtual faxing as appropriate

-transcribing dictations in a highly efficient, timely and professional manner (if required)

-prepare patients for visit

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
