Job Title: Crew Member
Reports To: Restaurant Manager

Job Overview:

As a Crew Member at Mary Brown's( 6140 Quinpool Rd, Halifax, NS B3L 1A3 ), you will be vital in providing excellent customer service and ensuring high-quality food is served in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and delivering an outstanding experience to every guest.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Greet customers warmly and take accurate food orders.
Prepare, cook, and package food following Mary Brown’s standards.
Ensure restaurant cleanliness, including dining areas, restrooms, and kitchen stations.
Adhere to food safety guidelines to maintain quality and freshness.
Follow health and safety protocols to ensure a safe workplace.
Work as part of a team to provide fast and friendly service.
Handle cash transactions and operate the POS system, ensuring accuracy.
Assist with receiving and stocking inventory.
Maintain a positive attitude and uphold professionalism at all times.
Physical Demands:

Ability to stand, walk, and work in a busy environment for extended periods.
Must be able to lift and move up to 30-50 pounds occasionally.
Exposure to hot and cold environments while working near cooking equipment.
Work Environment:

Fast-paced restaurant setting with customer interaction.
Occasional exposure to moving kitchen equipment.
Qualifications:

Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Basic math skills for handling transactions.
Ability to follow instructions and uphold food safety standards.
Prior experience in quick-service restaurants is an asset but not required.
Education and Certifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Safe Food Handling certification and First Aid Certification (preferred ).
