Senior Materials Technician

Heidelberg Materials Australia is seeking to appoint a Laboratory Supervisor / Senior Materials Technician at our NATA-accredited laboratory located at Marleston.

We are seeking a self-motivated candidate with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who is physically fit and possesses a strong work ethic. The successful applicant will have an impeccable customer focus and be highly motivated and enthusiastic, risk-aware, and safety-driven.

Your new job:

Perform ready-mix and quarry materials testing in our lab as well as in the field
Carry out equipment checks and calibrations
Ensure Laboratory NATA requirements are maintained
Daily use of computers and Laboratory information management systems (LIMS)
Lead our testing team and assist the technical team
About you:

Previous experience in a similar role (CMT is preferred but not essential)
Hold a Cert IV in Laboratory Techniques (preferred but not essential)
Display excellent Health and Safety behaviours
Are physically fit and hold a current driver's license
Have strong literacy and numeracy skills (written and verbal)
Are available to work weekends and overtime (when required)
Maintain a professional work ethic
Are customer-focused and have an excellent to detail
