Adelaide Automotive Repair Centre (AARC) is a proud South Australian owned company.
AARC is currently seeking hands- on qualified mechanic who is self-motivated and has strong organisational skills to join our busy team on a full-time basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Qualified Mechanic | Automotive Technician to join our friendly team, develop their career and build experience in our long standing and successful business.
Main Duties:
Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in motor vehicles using diagnostic equipment, software, and manual testing methods
Repairing, servicing and maintaining motor vehicles in accordance with manufacturer specifications and workplace standards
Dismantling, inspecting, repairing and reassembling engines, transmissions, steering, suspension, braking and other mechanical components
Replacing or repairing worn, defective or damaged parts and components and ensuring correct installation and operation
Performing scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance, including oil changes, lubrications, adjustments and engine tune-ups
Testing and adjusting repaired vehicles and components to ensure correct performance, safety and reliability
Conducting vehicle inspections to identify faults and determine rectification work required to meet roadworthiness and safety standards
Installing and fitting approved vehicle accessories and replacement components as required
Assisting with maintaining workshop tools, equipment and spare parts inventory
Responding to vehicle breakdowns or service requirements when required as part of normal workshop operations
Complying with workplace health and safety procedures and maintaining a clean and organised work environment
To be considered for this role, applicant should possess:
· Formal qualifications in Automotive Mechanics
· Minimum one year of post-qualification experience as a Motor Mechanic
· Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
· Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality work
· Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment
· Good customer service skills and the ability to communicate technical information clearly
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $76,000.00 – $82,000.00 per year
