About the Opportunity
0footprint Tech Services Inc. is looking for an motivated IT Helpdesk Intern to join our team in Vancouver. This is a 12-week internship (with the possibility of an extension for the right candidate) specifically designed for current IT students or recent graduates looking to gain hands-on experience in the Managed Service Provider (MSP) industry.
We provide a structured learning environment where you will gain the knowledge and professional experience needed to kickstart your career in Information Technology.
Your Impact & Learning Journey
As an intern, you will handle IT support for end-user technology and gain exposure to high-level technical operations:
Support & Troubleshooting: Provide first-level support for IT-related queries and assist with troubleshooting hardware/software issues.
Infrastructure Tasks: Complete desk setups, equipment moves, and decommissions.
Deployment: Assist with the installation, configuration, and updating of hardware (PCs, printers, monitors) and software.
Team Collaboration: Work alongside senior engineers on Microsoft 365, server maintenance, backups, and security tasks.
Documentation: Maintain IT inventory and system documentation, including user guides and configuration records.
Qualifications & Requirements
Required:
Education: Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of an Information Technology degree or diploma program.
Communication: Fluent in English with excellent verbal communication and professional phone manners.
Technical Basics: Fundamental understanding of computer systems (Windows, macOS), networking (IP, DNS, VPN), and mobile devices.
Soft Skills: Customer-oriented, cool-tempered, and a strong problem-solver with excellent attention to detail.
Assets (Nice to have):
Relevant certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+.
Microsoft Certifications: MS-900 or AZ-900.
Experience with ticketing systems.
Working Conditions
Work Location: In-person (Vancouver).
Autonomy: Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Growth: An eager drive to learn, adapt, and grow within the IT field.
Job Type: Internship / Co-op
Contract length: 3 months
Pay: From $17.85 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Work Location: In person
