The Corporate Strategy Intern will support Webster Bank’s Corporate Strategy team on a variety of strategic initiatives. This includes assisting with ongoing monitoring of Webster’s strategic plan, the finalization of Webster’s inaugural resolution plan, analyzing investments within Webster’s Direct Investment Program, evaluating new direct investment opportunities, and contributing to M&A analysis. The intern will also help enhance Corporate Strategy’s operational processes and controls. Additional opportunities may include supporting the development of Webster’s digital asset strategy and participating in an enterprise-wide working group.
Key Responsibilities for this role:

Assist in preparing and finalizing Webster’s inaugural resolution plan.

Perform analysis of Webster’s Direct Investment Program portfolio and potential investment opportunities.

Support M&A analysis, including market research and financial modeling.

Contribute to improving Corporate Strategy’s internal operations and control framework.

Participate in cross-functional working groups focused on digital asset strategy.

Prepare presentations and reports for senior leadership using Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.

Key skills/experience qualifications for this role:

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and PowerPoint required).

Analytical mindset with attention to detail.

Interest in banking, financial services, and corporate strategy.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

No prior professional experience required; coursework in finance, economics, or business preferred.

The estimated hourly range for this position is $20/hour USD to $23/hour USD. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
