After School Program Leader

Health Park Early Learning Centre is hiring an Early Childhood Educator to work at our After School Program at Shipyard Elementary. Training is preferred, ECE level 1, 2 or 3 would be accepted. The hours of work will be 2-5PM, Monday - Friday, during the school year. This job may lead to a full time position in the summer. There may be other opportunities for sub work as well.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities
- Create a safe and inclusive classroom and outdoor environment
- Provide individualized attention and support to each child
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians
- Maintain accurate records for each child as well as programming documentation
- Collaborate with other teachers to create a cohesive learning environment
- Utilize computerized systems for record keeping and communication

Experience:
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Strong leadership skills to guide and inspire young learners
- Ability to effectively communicate and write in English
- Familiarity with childcare regulations and best practices
