Engineer – Senior Design Engineer

Location: Surat, Gujarat

Responsibilities:

•Perform process design and development activities to establish efficient and scalable manufacturing processes for new products.

•Create and modify detailed 3D models and engineering drawings using SolidWorks, applying Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles.

•Conduct Design of Experiments (DOE) to validate design concepts and improve product performance and reliability.

•Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and comprehensive process documentation for new product launches.

•Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce production costs, and improve manufacturing efficiency.

•Manage multiple new product development projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project milestones and budgets.

•Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure clarity in design specifications, project progress, and any necessary modifications.

Requirements:

•Strong proficiency in 3D modeling and design software, particularly SolidWorks.

•In-depth knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and its applications.

•Experience with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design of Experiments (DOE) methodologies.

•Hands-on experience in developing and documenting SOPs and manufacturing processes for new product launches.

•Solid understanding of process design, process development, and manufacturing operations.

•Proven project management skills with the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously.

•Excellent problem-solving skills and creativity in product design and process optimization.

•Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
