Junior Hair & Makeup Assistant (Casual)

We’re a new and dynamic creative studio and modelling agency working at the intersection of creativity, style, and culture. From studio shoots to high-energy production days, we’re building bold visuals and fresh stories for our clients and members — and we’re looking for a passionate Junior Hair & Makeup Assistant to join us on a casual or sub-contract basis.

This is the perfect role for a hairdressing, beauty or screen & media student or emerging stylist/MUA who wants to gain hands-on experience working on fashion and editorial productions, alongside talented creatives, and acquiring content for their portfolio or qualification.

What you'll be doing:

Assisting lead hair stylists and makeup artists on set
Prepping models — from skin prep to hair styling support
Setting up and maintaining beauty stations and tools
Helping with touch-ups throughout the shoot to keep looks fresh
Being part of the creative process that shapes the final image
You’ll thrive in this role if you:

Are currently studying hair, makeup, or beauty, or have strong personal skills in both
Are passionate about editorial, fashion and beauty trends
Have a keen eye for detail and presentation
Work well in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Are organised, reliable and happy to take initiative

Pay: $25.39 – $48.58 per hour
