Location

Nestled in the quiet residential suburb of Yokine, the recently rebuilt, (former Stirling Community Hospital) is now the modern and well-appointed Stirling Aged Care Facility. Aegis Stirling offers residential care for 133 reside and utilize state-of-the-art equipment - providing Residents with quality care and easier working conditions for our staff.

About the Role

A working day will involve:

Providing laundry services under the direction and supervision of the Facility Manager according to Facility policies, procedures and standards.

Responsible for all in-house washing.

Compliance to policies and procedures in relation to laundry services and infection control.
Maintenance of laundry equipment and checking of filtration devices.
Maintain stock inventory and personal inventory of residents.
Ironing, mending and tagging of laundry items as necessary.
Promptly reports problems to the Facility Manager.
Handles laundry chemicals in accordance with safety information and safe handling techniques.
Return personal clothing to residents cupboards and maintain in tidy condition.
Other duties as directed by the Facility Manager.
About You

You should ideally be an empathetic person who:

Enjoys working with the elderly.
Can work independently and as part of a team.
Is able to supervise, organise and guide staff, to deliver high quality catering outcomes.
Has availability and flexibility to work a variety of shifts over weekdays and weekends.
Can communicate effectively both verbally and written.
You should possess the following:

Ability to communicate in spoken and written English.
Preferred - 1 year experience in laundry services.
