Technology & Data Governance Analyst

As a Technology& Data Governance Analyst, youll play a key role in embedding governance frameworks that support responsible data use and operational excellence. Youll be part of a new Governance Enablement team, supporting initiatives that uplift governance capability and maturity across IAG. This is a permanent full-time role based in Tmaki Makaurau (Auckland), tautahi (Christchurch) or Te Whanganui-a-Tara (Wellington).
Ng Mahi Hei Whakatutuki Mu | What You'll Do Support initiatives to embed technology and data governance practices across IAG. Provide advice on data governance and privacy obligations, adapting to regulatory and organisational change. Maintain and evolve governance artefacts and frameworks. Collaborate with data owners, stewards, and custodians to resolve governance issues. Contribute to reporting and metrics on governance maturity and compliance. Facilitate stakeholder training and engagement sessions to promote governance awareness.

u Pkenga me u Wheako | What You'll Bring Experience in data governance,risk, or information management roles. Understanding of technology governance, policy management, and compliance frameworks. Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills. Analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to simplify complex data. Certifications in Data Governance or Information Management (e.g., DAMA) are desirable. Familiarity with data governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica) are desirable. A curious, proactive mindset with ambition to improve processes and challenge the status quo.
