Senior nursing position in our growing and busy Perioperative Department

Free parking onsite in Kippa-Ring

Permanent part-time role - 60 hours/fortnight

The Opportunity

Our Perioperative Leadership Team are seeking an experienced Registered Theatre Nurse to join our busy team as a Floor Coordinator. This role will be suitable to Theatre RN’s with some floor coordination experience and an interest in growing in the position. Working to support our theatre teams, VMOs and CSSD in coordinating staffing, movement in the theatres and daily operational activities, this role will be a critical part of ensuring we achieve clinical outcomes across our 3 Operating Theatres (soon to be 4), two procedure rooms and a new CSSD department.

Peninsula Private is a 70 bed acute and rehabilitation hospital with 3 operating theatres located on the idyllic Redcliffe Peninsula. Specialties include orthopaedics, general surgery, urology, gynaecology, gastroenterology, ophthalmology, internal medicine and the delivery of leading rehabilitation services and programs on the Brisbane northside.

About You

You will be a qualified registered nurse with a sound understanding and CN experience in theatre floor coordination practices. You will have an excellent understanding of ACORN standards, be focused on leading an efficient and safe shift whilst being able to respond to daily operational changes with a calm and supportive disposition.

To be successful in this role, you will:

Be a Level 2 registered nurse, previous experience as a Clinical Nurse is highly desirable

Have relevant post graduate qualifications (desirable)

Have experience in coordinating busy theatres

Commit to our Safe Values
