Online Part-Time Jr/Sr High Teacher (approximately 0.2 fte)

Yellowhead Christian School (YCS) is seeking an Online Part-Time Jr/Sr High Teacher to start immediately for the rest of the 2025/2026 school year with the possibility of extending for future years. This position includes facilitating and marking online options classes (courses and suggested answers provided) and online teaching science classes at the Jr/Sr high school age. These assignments can be one position or separated into two assignments. Our online program (YCS@Home) is an online program open to students in Grades 7-12.

YCS is committed to cultivating the faith of students so that they will be able to live in the fullness of life before God according to His will for them. We are based Edson, AB, 200 km West of Edmonton and an hour from the beautiful Rocky Mountains. This position can be remote.

Have strong, positive interpersonal skills.
Teach students using lessons, discussions and audio-visual presentations.
Design effective strategies to meet the children's diverse learning needs.
Effective communication skills.
Qualifications:

Have a Bachelor of Education degree
Hold (or be eligible for) a valid Alberta teaching certificate
Have a passion for Christian Education
Applicants must be Canadian citizens or be currently eligible to work and teach in Canada.
