About the Role
As a Senior Developer with data warehousing experience, you will work within a development squad, leveraging their extensive skills and experience to design, develop, deliver, and support applications, integrations, and analytics solutions. As well as:
Collaborate effectively with stakeholders and other members of your squad to design and develop high quality solutions
Actively working towards meeting the goals of your squad, which operates as a self-organising unit
Ensure documentation relating to the solutions that you are responsible for is current and complete.
Performing L3 support for the products within your squads suite
Undertake systems analysis activities such as researching, consulting, analysing and evaluating system needs, ensuring that there is a clear shared understanding of problems
Develop robust test plans, processes and procedures – undertaking testing, debugging, diagnosing and correcting errors and faults in any applications the squad supports, building out test automation using established testing protocols, guidelines and quality standards to ensure applications perform to requirements
Writing and maintaining application code to meet system requirements, system designs and technical specifications in accordance with the Development Chapter standards
Ensuring all code and applications developed follow industry standard security best practice
Building out automated software and application deployments, improving and developing CI/CD processes using Release Pipelines and ensuring all code repositories are maintained
Skills and experience
The successful applicant will demonstrate personal integrity and take a proactive ownership of work, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality code. As well as:
Strong SQL experience
Experience building data warehouses including implementing data structures and data modelling
Strong experience with ETL and various data transformation processes
Experience with integration patterns and technologies, including SQL Server Integration Services, SSAS and Data Warehouse platforms
Broad and deep .Net development experience with C#
Experience with DevOps and Azure Services, Release Pipelines and GIT Repositories
A desire to learn and keep up to date in a fast-changing environment, which may include new technologies, platforms and paradigms
Ability to produce high quality documentation tuned to a desired audience, from technical to non-technical)
A good understanding of modern software delivery methodologies, product & project management principles and a history of successful delivery using these
Organised, structured, self-sufficient and self-managed in carrying out duties
