Summary of Role
Performing specified quality checks on capsules produced on capsulation machines & powder bottling machine.

Conducting work in a safe manner and demonstrating a strong commitment to SDI’s values of passion, accountability, respect, teamwork, and innovation.

Maintains a high level of cleanliness in the department.

Maintaining enough plastic parts for the shift and parts for the next shift.

Specific Responsibilites
Performs specified quality checks & records, according to the relevant production form

Maintains enough plastic parts on all jobs for the shift and into the next shift

Make sure any material required, is available for any changes on the shift.

Participate in toolbox meetings / daily safety – quality whiteboard meetings

Completes all relevant paperwork for quality checks and raw material

Basic troubleshooting for capsules which do not meet specifications on the quality checks

Maintains a clean department according to the GI Cleaning Checklist

Maintain enough plastic parts, powder & liquid on the machine for the product being run on the capsulation machine & powder bottling machine.

Maintain machine efficiency at all times.

Maintain daily production & quality records & inform supervisor any deviations

Job Environment
The position is located at Bayswater

Working hours: 38 hrs per week on an afternoon shift with prior arrangement

Mon-Thu 15:30-00:00 (8 hours); Fri 12:30-19:00 (6 hours); lunch 30 mins

Education Level
High School or equivalent

Essential Experience
On the job training provided

Experience working in a manufacturing environment

Knowledge and skills
Ability to read and write English

Good verbal communication skills.

Excellent team working, organisational and time management skills.

Good understanding of company organization and structure, familiarity with relevant SDI policies and procedures and knowledge of day-to-day operation and terminology.
