Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregiver/Aide professionals to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in various settings, including home, community, assisted living, and long-term care facilities. The ideal candidate will assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), monitor patient health, and ensure a safe, comfortable environment. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those requiring assistance due to aging, disabilities, or health conditions such as dementia or autism. Prior experience in senior care, memory care, hospice, or group homes is highly valued. Candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to patient safety, confidentiality, and compassionate caregiving.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
Monitor and document vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature
Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA regulations
Support residents with meal preparation and feeding while adhering to dietary restrictions
Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
Operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts and resident lifts safely
Maintain cleanliness of the living environment through light cleaning duties
Observe and report changes in patient condition or behavior to healthcare professionals
Follow established care plans tailored to individual needs, including Alzheimer’s and dementia care strategies
Assist with transportation to appointments or community activities when required
Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times to prevent falls or injuries
Qualifications

Prior experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care settings preferred
Knowledge of patient observation techniques and medication administration procedures
Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, Alzheimer’s disease, or dementia preferred
Ability to assist with heavy lifting and use of mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts
Strong communication skills and ability to work well with diverse populations including seniors and individuals with disabilities
Understanding of HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy and confidentiality
Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to provide quality care
Ability to work independently while following detailed care plans
