Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Daycare Assistant Teacher to join our early childhood education team. This role involves supporting classroom activities, ensuring the safety and well-being of children, and fostering a nurturing environment for young learners. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong understanding of childhood development principles. This position offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on children's lives while gaining valuable experience in early childhood education.

Responsibilities

Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans and educational activities tailored to various age groups, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers
Support children's emotional, social, and physical development through engaging play and interaction
Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times by maintaining a clean, organized, and hazard-free environment
Help with diapering, feeding, and nap routines as needed
Foster positive behavior management strategies to promote respectful interactions among children
Support classroom management by maintaining order and encouraging cooperative play
Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress and daily activities
Assist with classroom setup, cleaning, and organization to ensure a welcoming learning environment
Follow all licensing regulations and health & safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary
Qualifications

Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or similar settings is preferred
Knowledge of childhood development theories and practices
Experience with classroom management and behavior guidance techniques
Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable; willingness to obtain certification if not already held
Ability to work effectively with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with team members and parents
Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with young children
Educational background in early childhood education or related fields is advantageous but not required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 35 per week
