General Manager Position

Pay: $20–$22/hr to start | Cap: $28/hr (earned through performance)
Training Pay: $16/hr during product & systems training

Opening

We’re building something intentional not just running an ice cream shop. This is a small, close-knit operation where leadership, trust, and consistency truly matter. You’ll be working directly with ownership in an environment where effort is recognized, communication is open, and standards are taken seriously.

As ownership prepares for outside commitments, we’re looking for a mature, reliable, and grounded General Manager who can confidently hold down the day-to-day operations of the store. This role requires someone who takes pride in structure, leads with integrity, and understands what it means to be trusted with a business.

This is not a title-only role. This is real leadership.

Role Overview

The General Manager is responsible for the entire daily operation of the store people, product, standards, and sales. You will be fully cross-trained and expected to work the floor alongside your team.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Leadership

Oversee daily store operations and shift execution
Create schedules, lead shifts, and support supervisors
Train, coach, and hold team members accountable
Maintain food safety, cleanliness, and product consistency
Ensure standards are followed even when ownership is not present
Communicate clearly and consistently with ownership
Sales, Outreach & Growth (Very Important)

Proactively reach out to schools, daycares, and local businesses
Build relationships that lead to repeat and group business
Upsell gallons, bulk orders, and larger purchases
Create simple, practical deals with clubs, teams, and organizations
Identify opportunities to increase sales during slower days
Encourage in-store upselling throughout the day
Think beyond the counter this role includes business awareness
Scheduling, Weekends & Holidays

Weekends are rotated, with the goal of every other weekend off when staffing allows
Major holidays are rotated and shared, including:
Memorial Day
Fourth of July
Easter
Labor Day
As a leadership role, the General Manager is expected to work select holidays
Schedules are planned and communicated in advance to keep expectations clear and fair

Third-Party & Order Accuracy (Important)

Oversee third-party orders (DoorDash, Uber Eats, etc.)
Ensure order accuracy before handoff
Handle disputes and issues with third-party platforms
Track and communicate recurring problems to management
Sales & Community Support

Assist with outreach to schools, daycares, and local businesses
Support upselling of gallons and larger group orders
Help identify opportunities with clubs, teams, and repeat customers
Encourage the team to upsell appropriately during shifts
