Job Description
Experienced Guitar Teacher required for Wednesdays 5pm to 8.10pm
We are looking for a replacement guitar teacher from late February/March 2026, who is friendly, welcoming and experienced, to teach electric and acoustic guitar (mostly Rock & Pop) to students from age 7 to adults, in small groups of up to 6 students at a time (55 minute lessons). There is scope to increase working hours, if desired.
It is essential that the teacher currently lives locally (max 45 minutes travel), and has, or be willing to get, a DBS check prior to joining our school. PLEASE CHECK THE TYPICAL TRAVEL TIME AROUND 4PM ON WEDNESDAYS BEFORE APPLYING.
We require a friendly, caring, individual to join our team of dedicated teachers. You must be well organised, good at admin/record keeping, have a thorough knowledge of your instrument, as well as being a good communicator; someone who can inspire our students to achieve their full potential musically. You must have a right to work in the UK.
Above all, we value teaching experience (minimum three years experience), though a tertiary level qualification is preferred too. Mature teachers are welcome to apply.
You will be working on a self-employed basis, commission paid monthly. We are open approximately 45 weeks per year. Many of our teachers have been working for Musicland Music Academy for more than 10 years.
For more information please contact Odette Bilby (School Manager).
