About Exploring Scholar
Exploring Scholar is an education organization delivering high-quality academic programs for elementary and high school students. We are seeking a Marketing Specialist (Mandarin Required) to support marketing execution, communications, enrollment-cycle planning, customer support, and operational standardization.
This role is best suited for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, comfortable with outreach, and capable of executing tasks reliably on a schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing & Communications Execution
Create marketing and communication materials (copy, posters, announcements, campaigns) under guidance and submit for approval.
Publish approved materials across platforms at scheduled times.
Maintain consistent brand voice, formatting, and quality across communications.
Enrollment Cycle Planning & Calendar Management
Build and maintain a calendar for enrollment cycles across different programs.
Track key dates (launch, reminders, deadlines, start dates) and ensure timely execution of marketing actions.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders to keep plans accurate and current.
Customer Support & FAQ Development
Provide customer support by answering common questions (English and Mandarin as needed).
Create and maintain an FAQ document to standardize responses and reduce repeat inquiries.
Identify recurring issues and propose improvements to increase parent satisfaction.
Enrollment Support & Ongoing Family Communications
Support student enrollment into programs (follow-ups, confirmations, onboarding guidance).
Provide structured support throughout the semester to improve parent satisfaction.
Deliver periodic communications and feedback check-ins based on a set schedule.
SOP Creation and Task Standardization
Create, follow, and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) for recurring tasks.
Document workflows clearly so tasks are repeatable, reliable, and easy to hand off.
Requirements
Mandarin required (written and spoken) for marketing and customer communications.
Eager communicator who does not shy away from cold calls and active outreach.
Excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail.
Strong reliability: consistently meets deadlines and follows schedules.
Works well in a team setting; collaborative and accountable.
Creative problem-solver who can execute quickly and improve processes.
Proficient with AI tools and content creation tools, using them at least 3 times daily for life/work/studies.
Experience with Mandarin marketing platforms such as WeChat, RedNote (Xiaohongshu), and TikTok.
Availability in evenings and weekends when customer communications can peak.
Able to commute reliably to 201 Consumers Rd, North York for weekly in-person meetings/work sessions.
