Job Description:

WMC currently have multiple opportunities available for a Multi-Trade Operative to join a growing team in East London, and the main office Canary wharf. We are managing big portfolio of property, New propjet that require planning and the works to be carried out as well has finished tenanted flats.

This is employed job role, Not self-employed and minimum of 5 years on the tools, please do not apply if you are less than five years

Ideally we are looking for:

General repairs
Basic Plasterer
Basic Tiler
Carpenter/multi
Basic Plumber/multi
Groundworker/Labor
Floor Layer
Needs to be all arounder
Basic Eclectic
Can use technology ie phone software/apps
Good English communications
All personal will be checked via the DBS system

At least five years experience within or construction industry.

Work Location: Greater London, ESSEX but mainly East London.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine inspections of buildings, fixtures, and equipment to identify maintenance needs.
Perform repairs on plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, painting, and general building maintenance.
Assist with installation of fixtures, appliances, and other equipment as required.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or management.
Keep accurate records of repairs undertaken and parts used.
Collaborate with external contractors when specialised repairs or installations are necessary.
Qualifications

Proven experience as a Handyman or in a similar maintenance role.
Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting skills.
Ability to read technical manuals and diagrams.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy objects and work in confined spaces.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude towards maintenance issues.
Relevant certifications or licences (e.g., electrical or plumbing) are desirable but not essential. This role is ideal for motivated individuals who take pride in maintaining safe and functional environments through their practical skills and attention to detail.
