Job Description

Inspire. Lead. Grow. – Join the Y Kinders team!

At Y Kinders, we believe every child has the right to access a quality early childhood education and care service that celebrates their individuality, community, and curiosity. Each of our services across Victoria reflects the unique community it belongs to — fostering a strong sense of belonging, connection, and identity.

As part of Victoria’s largest Early Years Management provider, we’re proud to support over 93 services and 700+ educators across the state who inspire, nurture, and empower young learners every day.

We’re now seeking a Part Time Diploma-qualified Educator — or someone who’s currently working toward their qualification — to join our passionate team and make a real difference in children’s lives.

Where you’ll work

Dorrington Kindergarten is part of the new Dorrington Child and Family Hub. They offer play-based three- and four-year-old programs, a natural tree lined outdoor environment and community engagement. We’re looking for a passionate and collaborative educator who values quality programming and a supportive team culture.

Role Details:

Monday and Wednesday - sessions 8:30 to 4pm

What You’ll Do

In this hands-on, rewarding role, you’ll:

Support the delivery of engaging, play-based learning programs
Build strong, trusting relationships with children, families, and your teaching team
Create safe, inclusive, and nurturing environments that inspire curiosity
Collaborate with educators and teachers to deliver high-quality early learning experiences
For a more detailed list of role responsibilities, please see the attached position description: Diploma Educator

What You’ll Bring

Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or actively studying toward it)
A strong enthusiasm for working with children and a commitment to ongoing learning
Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certifications (or willingness to obtain)
Great teamwork, communication, and organisational skills

Why You’ll Love the Y

We support you to grow — through mentoring, study support, and paid professional development
We value educators at every stage — whether you’re just starting out or ready to take the next step
You’ll join a community where belonging, respect, honesty, nurturing, and excellence are at the heart of everything we do
Enjoy supportive leadership and job security.
