A little about the job....

Perform various service duties and routine technical tasks to include taking vital signs and assisting patients with basic hygiene and daily living activities under close supervision and according to established policies and procedures.

Qualifications for the job...

High school education or equivalent required.
Must provide evidence of having passed both written and manual sections of Certified Nursing Assistant Program or one year prior home care experience at a certified Medicare facility.
Valid Alabama driver's license, proof of current automobile liability insurance and reliable transportation required to carry out patient assignments.
Must have sympathetic attitude toward care of sick, genuine interest in geriatric nursing, liking for people and desire to serve those who are ill and/or incapacitated.
Ability to work under close supervision, follow verbal and written instructions, adjust to diversified types of personalities and use tact and judgment in dealing with varying situations, patients, their families and visitors.
