Job Description

About the role

The Business Support Officer – Community Wellbeing provides administrative and operational support to the Manager, leadership team and Community Wellbeing department. You will coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes, and ensure all correspondence and documentation are accurate and professionally presented. This role is central to maintaining smooth day to day operations and supporting the delivery of high-quality services to the community.

Beyond administrative tasks, you will contribute to departmental projects and initiatives, ensuring deadlines are met and processes run efficiently. This includes assisting with service reviews, identifying and implementing improvements to systems and workflows, and supporting organisational change projects. You will also maintain accurate records, monitor customer requests, and help ensure that customer-focused practices are embedded across all activities.

This is a full-time permanent position (38 hours per week).

This is a Band 5 role with a salary range between $80,490 and $89,430 per annum, plus superannuation.

Benefits of working with us:

Support work-life balance with your choice of monthly or fortnightly rostered day off and hybrid working arrangements.
20 weeks paid primary caregiver leave (6 weeks for secondary caregivers) plus other generous leave options such as volunteer leave, family planning and menstrual and menopause leave.
Opportunities for professional development and to take on temporary roles in other teams to grow your skills and experience.
Novated lease vehicle options.
Experience and skills we’re looking for

Strong administrative experience, including diary management and meeting coordination.
Ability to draft, proofread, and format professional documents and correspondence.
Excellent customer service skills with experience managing complex enquiries and complaints.
Strong organisational skills to manage competing priorities and deadlines effectively.
Ability to monitor and track requests, ensuring timely completion and updates.
Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team and support departmental goals.
High level of adaptability and resilience when managing change and competing demands.
If you have some but not all these skills or experience, we still encourage you to apply. Especially if you have the right attitude and willingness to learn.
