Holiday Inn Vancouver Downtown in April 2026 will be open new Amber Road Restaurant , European Amber Road dishes from the Mediterranean Sea, through Austria, Poland, to the Baltic Sea. Historic dishes, reminiscent of the foundations of good cooking, childhood, and grandmother's dishes.

ROLE SUMMARY

As a Server at Amber Road, you’ll help create a relaxed yet polished dining experience that reflects our commitment to approachable, ingredient-driven food and thoughtful service. You’ll connect with guests through friendly conversation, guide them through the menu, and provide attentive service that feels natural and sincere. You’ll work closely with the team to deliver seamless service, contribute to a positive atmosphere, and ensure every guest leaves feeling cared for and eager to return.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation quality
Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering and cash handling procedures
Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in dining areas, including proper food handling and food safety practices
Assist in setting up tables, refilling supplies, and ensuring the overall cleanliness of service stations
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
Manage guest inquiries professionally, providing excellent guest services and support throughout their dining experience
Follow all health regulations related to food preparation, sanitation, and safety protocols
Skills

Proficiency with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, for order entry and cashiering
Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and positive attitude
Knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and food safety standards in the restaurant industry
Ability to perform basic math for bill calculations, tips, and cash handling accurately
Previous restaurant or food service experience preferred; kitchen experience is a plus
Effective communication skills to interact with guests and team members seamlessly
Hospitality-oriented mindset with a focus on guest satisfaction
Ability to upsell menu items tactfully to enhance the dining experience

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.00-$19.43 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
